In case you missed it, click here to see details from our July newsletter featuring 2026 Data Standards, July Clarity Feature, HMIS Data Quality Benchmarks and Policies, and general HMIS updates.

This newsletter is for all Clarity HMIS users in the Cincinnati/Hamilton County CoC. Here you will find updates, reminders, and important information to help keep our data strong and secure -  so we can continue strengthening services for our community.

This issue covers:

Gender AND Sex - OR Sex Only - Feedback Request

The federal HMIS Data Standards have changed in response to recent Executive Orders, including the retirement of the Gender data element. It’s being replaced by a new Sex data element. Communities may still choose to collect Gender — and we want to hear from you.

So far, 90% of respondents support continuing to collect both Gender and Sex. What do you think?

Submit your response to this 2-question form and make your voice heard.
