HUD GuidanceAccording to this client's assessment at Project Start, they experienced a single episode of homelessness in the three years prior to their enrollment and the approximate date homelessness started known, but the total number of months they experienced homelessness prior to this enrollment is inconsistent with the given dates. Please double-check this information for consistency and accuracy. 


How to correct: Compare the date homelessness began in the Prior Living Situation section to the Project Start date. Use that information to count the client's total number of months homeless, making sure to count each month one time. 

Example: If a client became homeless for the first time in 3 years in January and their Project Start Date was June, their total number of months homeless would be 6 months (January, February, March, April, May, June) since every month a client experienced even one night of homelessness counts as one whole month.
