New users will now be set up with a Clarity HMIS Training account to complete any assigned HMIS trainings. The URL to the training site is: Log in credentials will be provided by the HMIS Support Team.

The CIN HMIS training site mirrors the live Clarity database, except there is no real client data. This site should only be used for training purposes and real client data should never be entered. Users can enter fake/demo data to complete hands on-training activities, practice workflows, and become familiar with HMIS processes. 

Following the training(s), new users will be provided with updated credentials and appropriate user access to the live Clarity HMIS database: and access to the training site will be removed. 

For users who are participating in a training that already have access to the live Clarity site, they will need to consciously differentiate between using the training site vs. entering data in the live site. 

Along with having a different URL, the training version of Clarity can be differentiated by the welcome banner on the sign in screen (shown above) and the color differences in the top and side banners. The training site is a dark blue and the live site is a dark gray:

When Contacting HMIS support about a particular client, please do not send personally identifiable information such as name, SSN, or VESTA Public ID. Use the Clarity Unique ID found on the Clarity client profile screen.
