Logging In

Here is a video showcasing the first time a users logs into Clarity HMIS.  For more detailed information, please see the instructions and descriptions below.


Open the Clarity log in website: https://cincinnati.clarityhs.com/login
Please note: for Clarity training users are directed to https://cincinnati.clarityhs.com/login


Enter your username and temporary password provided to you by STEH HMIS Support.

If you already have an active account (you are taking a refresher or additional course), use the same log in credentials for your existing account.

 



Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

 

Choose how to verify your account either via an authenticator app or email. Click "Next."



Verification Code and Trusted Device 


Either verification method sends a code; enter the code in the space provided. If you are working remotely, such as in a public space, leave the "Trusted Device" box unchecked; you'll be prompted to enter a code the each time you log in.


If you're working in a secure location, such as the agency office, click "Trusted Device" to keep from having to enter the code for 30 days.

Forgot Password

If you forget your password, click "FORGOT PASSWORD?" at the bottom of the screen. A box will pop up requiring you to enter your email address. Click the box marked "I'm not a robot," then select "Reset Password."



An email will be sent with instructions on resetting your password. 



Additional Security Measures

You have five (5) attempts to enter your password before the system locks you out for 2 hours as a security precaution. After 2 unsuccessful attempts, an email will be sent your email alerting you of the failed log in attempt in case your credentials have been compromised.

 

For security purposes, you'll need to log in at least once every 90 days. An additional security measure automatically logs you out after 1 hour of inactivity. However, a warning box pops up asking if you want to continue working or if you want to log out. 


Signing Out

To sign out of the system, click on your initials in the top right of the screen, then select "Sign Out." You are required to sign out at the end of your shift, or when you won't be using Clarity for an extended period.

When contacting HMIS Support about a particular client, please do not send personally identifiable information (PII) such as full name, social security number, or any other information used to determine a person's identity through email. Instead, please send the Clarity Unique Identifier found on the client's Clarity Profile page. You can use the messaging system in Clarity if you need to send personally-identifying information.
